Why you should know this
Supply and demand is the base layer under news, narratives and chart patterns.
Price searches for an agreement

Buyers state what they are willing to pay. Sellers state what they are willing to accept. Trades occur when those intentions meet.
If eager buyers demand more than sellers offer near the current price, buyers may accept higher prices. If sellers are more urgent, they may accept lower bids.
Market supply is not total token supply
A token can have a large total supply but little available for sale. Another can have a small supply and weak demand.
Unlocks, large holders, exchange access and incentives can change available supply. New information can change demand quickly.
A familiar example

A small token has few sell orders. A group of buyers arrives at once. Their orders consume the nearby offers, so later trades occur at higher prices.
One limit to remember
Supply-and-demand language explains the mechanism, not the reason. We still need evidence for why participants changed their behavior.
How this connects to market mastery
Technical, fundamental and sentiment analysis are different ways of studying future shifts in supply, demand and willingness.
Quick check — no money needed

Write one event that could increase available supply and one that could increase buyer demand.
If you can answer that clearly, this lesson is complete.
