WIBS PHP INC. along with its system DOPAY, values the security and secrecy of information acquired from its clients, affiliates, and guests with utmost importance. The purpose of this Data Privacy Statement is to inform you, how we collect, use, process, store, share, delete, and protect this data.
In aligning with the Data Privacy Act of 2012, its latest amendments, and other relevant domestic and international laws, we have allotted resources and time to comply with every compliance requirement and maintain the strongest level of security in our systems.
DEFINITION OF TERMS
Key terms used in these Terms include:
- “AML“: Anti-Money Laundering measures, as prescribed by BSP.
- “CFT“: Combating the Financing of Terrorism, as mandated by BSP regulations.
- “E-Wallet“: A digital account provided by WIBS PHP to facilitate payments and transfers.
- “DOPAY“: The service brand under WIBS PHP’s EMI and VASP licenses.
- “Loss“: Any liability, damage, or claim arising from the use of WIBS PHP services.
- “Personal Information” (PI) refers to any information from which the identity of an individual is apparent or can be reasonably and directly ascertained
- “Sensitive Personal Information” (SPI) refers to info about an individual’s:
- Race
- Ethnic origin
- Marital status
- Age
- Color
- Religious, philosophical, or political affiliations
- Health, education, genetic, or sexual life
- Proceeding for any offense committed or alleged to have been committed by an individual
- Government-issued IDs
- Those established by an executive order or an act of Congress to be kept classified
- “WIBS PHP Account” Your account with WIBS PHP where transactions and balances are maintained.
- “WIBS” Refers to WIBS PHP INC.
HOW WE COLLECT INFORMATION
The collection of data is automated and conducted every time a user or visitor:
- Visit the WIBS website or any of its DOPAY systems.
- Visit any advertisement for WIBS or any of its systems.
- Visit WIBS accredited agents’ website, offices, premises, or their facilities.
- Registration to DOPAY.
- Transacting through DOPAY.
- Filing complaints or inquiries to WIBS and any of its affiliated systems.
The Company may obtain information from publicly available records, sources, or databases to facilitate its internal screening protocols and verification procedures.
Our third-party service providers may also extract information from publicly available records, sources, or databases to ensure regulatory compliance, conduct background verification, and support operational functions.
WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT
To align with the Data Privacy Act of 2012, information that can be categorized as Personal Information (PI) and Sensitive Personal Information (SPI) are collected.
Information that you provide:
- Name
- Email Address
- Phone Number
- Residential or Mailing Address
- Government-issued IDs
- Social Security Number
- Date of Birth
- Employment and Financial Information
- Login Credentials (Username, Password, PINs)
- Communication Records
- Image of Face
- Billing Statement
Information that is automatically collected:
- IP Address
- Device Type
- Operating System of Device
- Browser Type and Settings
- Referring URLs and pages visited
- Time spent on pages and clickstream data
- Language and Location (Based on IP)
Information that is collected by a third-party service:
- Cookie Identifiers
- Tracking Tags
- User interaction with ads (Clicks, views, conversions)
- Behavioral data across websites that uses these ad services
- Device and Browser related information
- Form submissions or usage logs
HOW WE USE INFORMATION
Legal and Compliance – Information is aligned with the respective domestic laws, regulations, and circulars, together with its amendments and relevant laws. These are but are not limited to the Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA), Data Privacy Act (DPA), Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Circulars, etc.
KYC – Part of the safety protocols and establishing due diligence to compliance for every client, WIBS will use the information in conducting Know-Your-Customer procedures.
Marketing – In relation to research and establishing customer relations management, information will be used for these purposes. The goal is to help us understand how users interact with our website to improve their experience.
Internal Policies – Information shall be used to study and improve security policies under applicable laws.
Use of Cookies – The Company’s services use cookies and similar technologies to understand usage and improve performance. You can disable cookies through your web browser settings but note that doing so may limit access to some features of the service.
HOW WE PROTECT INFORMATION
WIBS will provide necessary and appropriate measures of supervision to its employees so that personal information is safely managed against risks such as loss, destruction, falsification, and leakage of personal information. In addition, when WIBS entrusts all, or part of the handling of personal information to the third party, the Company will conduct necessary and appropriate supervision so that the personal information will be managed safely at the outsourcing company.
Personal data collected may be processed through manual or automated means, including, but not limited to, the collection, organization, storage, retrieval, and analysis of data to help manage our services and make informed decisions.
We process all data fairly and lawfully, in full compliance with the Data Privacy Act and other governing laws, implementing appropriate organizational, technical, and physical security measures to protect the confidentiality and integrity of the information throughout its life cycle.
HOW WE DISCLOSE INFORMATION
When requested by a customer, WIBS will disclose personal information without delay after verifying the request is authorized by the principal. If the information does not exist, it will be notified. However, this does not apply where disclosure is not required under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 or any other laws. A fee of 100 pesos (including tax) per request will be charged for disclosure, correction, or suspension of personal information use.
UPDATING OUR DATA PRIVACY STATEMENT
The Privacy Statement will be modified at any time to align itself with the updated laws and regulations. Every update will inform or be announced to our customers and partners.
